The current Ross Revenge transmitter mast is a direct replacement for the twin masts that were removed at the request of the ships insurance surveyor during her stay in Tilbury Docks. The generous donation by Radio Structures Ltd was completed in 2012 and at present is non-functional. Standing at just over 30m (30.5m), and weighing in at almost 1500kg, the current mast is somewhat smaller than predecessors but we're sure you'll agree the Ross Revenge wouldn't look right without a transmitter mast of some sort.

With the AM license recently being awarded to Radio Caroline by Ofcom it would be nice to think that there is a chance that this mast may soom come back into life.
