Ross Revenge Record Library
The Ross Revenge Record Library is currently home to some 17,000 titles that have been kindly donated by Radio Caroline fans over the years. We dont know anyone that has actually counted these but the library is both substantial and impressive.

MP3's and Playout systems rendered the record library obsolete - effectively making this area a 'museum piece' for the moment. Whilst vinyl doesn't feature at all for live broadcasts anymore it wouldn't take much for the Studio 1 (Heritage) Russco turntables to be put back into action. Who knows - maybe one day soon ?

Captains Cabin
What is not apparent when you first set foot into the Record Libary is what the rooms previous use was. Back in both the Freyr and Ross Revenge fishing days this area was the Captain's accomodation, perfectly situated directly beneaththe Bridge.

Shown opposite is a drawing capture of the Captain's Cabin from the original 1959 Freyr construction plans. As you walk through the door, looking left the area marked as 1900x900 would have been the Captain's bed, with a small settee adjacent to it - finished off with a wardrobe and privacy curtain.

In the main lounge the Captain was provided with a writing table and seating area. Bathroom and WC facilities were shared with the ships 1st Mate and WT Operator.
